My name is Libby and I am a Dental Hygienist at Smile Co. I began working with the company in November of 2016.
My career in dentistry began in 2008 as a Dental Assistant and after three years in that position I decided to take it to the next level and enrolled at the Faculty of Dentistry here in Dunedin. I completed my Bachelor of Oral Health at the end of 2013 which gave me a dual scope as a Hygienist and a dental therapist.
Since graduation I worked in a busy downtown practice in Wellington but was excited when the opportunity arose to move back home to Dunedin to live and work.
As a hygienist I enjoy meeting people and I am very attentive to their needs. I want my patients to feel comfortable both with me and what I do. I also like to empower my patients to take control of their oral hygiene as a common goal of this practice is to maintain teeth for a long and healthy life.
I have one daughter Millie who keeps my husband and I pretty busy outside of work. I love to catch up with friends and family, do a bit of DIY around the house and get the dog for walks.
